Maine Credit Unions’ 30-day Ending Hunger $100,000 Challenge concluded on July 4, 2020. The Maine Credit Union League and Synergent kicked off the Challenge by pledging $100,000 to the Maine Credit Unions Campaign for Ending Hunger. We then asked Maine’s credit unions, their staffs, their members, and businesses and individuals throughout Maine to help us raise an additional $100,000 to match the contribution from the League and Synergent. In total, the $100,000 Challenge raised over $230,000 in 30 days.
Maine credit unions would like to thank the following organizations and 311 individuals for their contributions to the Challenge. With their help we will continue to fight hunger in our state. Hunger in Maine can be eliminated. It will take a joint determination from all to address the economic, political, and personal barriers that contribute to hunger.
